برای پرسیدن درباره اشیا، کارها، فعالیتها، توضیح بیشتر درباره یک موضوع، یا اطلاعات کلی استفاده میشود. هرجا که بخواهیم بدانیم “چی؟ چه کاری؟ چه چیزی؟” از what استفاده میکنیم.

برای پرسیدن علت انجام یک کار یا دلیل یک اتفاق استفاده میشود. معمولاً جواب آن با because شروع میشود.
